Orthopedics is a rapidly evolving surgical field focused on diseases of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, tendons, and muscles). Disorders of the locomotor system are a global concern, which is why new methods of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention are continuously being developed. (The word orthopedics comes from the Greek orthos = straight and paidion = child, or possibly aideuein = to raise.)
In our clinics, we primarily address:
- congenital and acquired spinal deformities,
- diseases of the joints of the upper and lower limbs,
- tendon disorders,
- consequences of injuries to bones, joints, muscles, and tendons,
- prevention of deformities and musculoskeletal diseases.
In indicated cases, we arrange for surgical treatment or hospital admission as needed.
